Three climate tech sectors we're watching in 2024

Listen on Apple Podcasts, Spotify, or wherever you get your podcasts.

Every six months, I share a recap on what’s been happening in venture capital funding for Canadian climate tech. The intent is to zoom out from the day-to-day and get a sense of the state of investment in climate tech, where capital is flowing, and where there are gaps.

In this episode of The Climate Cycle, I share a preview of our upcoming report, breaking down what’s happening by industry, which investors and regions are the most active, and year-over-year changes in deal activity.

We share three areas of climate tech that we’ve been following closely this year and that have been attracting investment dollars: chemicals and plastics, alternative proteins, and enabling platforms in sectors like carbon removal and biomanufacturing.

Read the full mid-year report here.

I’d love to hear which sectors you’re watching closely, or if you think we got something wrong. You can also send feedback and ideas for future episodes to hello@climatetechcanada.ca
